John Bennett papers, undated ca. 1832-1835.

The John Bennett papers consist of two documents, one land deed and one plat map, both incomplete fragments. The deed was signed in Chatham County, and grants land rights for property previously occupied by the Cherokee and Creek Indians. The plat map is for 160 acres, but not enough information is given to determine specific location of the property concerned, date, or the relationship of the plat map to the deed.
